Squat on 1-25-18
318 pounds for 10 reps
Week 1 of Ed Coan 14 Week Peaking Program
After I finished the first set, I opted not to do the second set because I felt a possible muscle tear coming on.  During the last squat workout, while warming up for my max lift I dropped the bar off my back.  I was squatting 385 pounds at the time.  Fortunately the power rack did exactly what it was supposed to do and caught the weight.  My daughters heard the noise and my seven year old looked at the bar and said “looks bent to me.” I bent the bar and had to buy a new one but thankfully was not injured.  I have never dropped a bar which is making me re-think doing all of my squats at home. Once I get to the point in the cycle where I am down to doing 3 reps, I will probably go to a local powerlifting gym and do the work-out there with the aid of a spotter.
