Overhead press on 1-23-18
166 pounds for 1 rep
Week 14 of Ed Coan 14 Week Peaking Program

Was not able to get the lift (was still sore from doing max bench on Friday, with more rest could have done more but wanted to move on to the next cycle), so the last successful lift of 161 pounds will be the base max for the next 14 week peaking cycle.
During this 14 week peaking cycle, my max lift for the bench press went from 295 pounds to 315 pounds, for squat, from 444 pounds to 477 pounds, for deadlift, from 451 pounds to 484 pounds, for barbell rows from 225 pounds to 242 pounds, and for the overhead press, from 155 pounds to 161 pounds. This shows that it’s possible to gain strength by doing simple 45 minute work-outs and by eating an adequate amount of protein (1 gram per pound of body weight) and drinking 80-100 ounces of water each day.
